BMW’s internal HR portal crashes after more than 40,000 employees get access to voluntary layoff programme
BMW’s voluntary severance programme began with technical problems as heavy demand from about 40,000 eligible employees slowed or temporarily disabled its internal HR portal. The offers are part of a plan to cut 8,000 German jobs by 2027, focused on administrative roles.
