BRICS finance ministers discuss possibility of efficient cross-border payment mechanisms
BRICS finance ministers and central bank governors are exploring faster and cheaper cross-border payment systems, including greater use of local currencies for trade and investment. The talks come ahead of the New Delhi summit as the grouping also pushes for greater representation of developing economies at the IMF and World Bank.
