Electric two-wheeler sales cross 15 lakh in just nine months as adoption rockets
E2W registrations rose 7.7% month-on-month to 1.97 lakh units in September, taking cumulative registrations in January-September to 15.61 lakh units, according to Vahan vehicle registration data, a proxy for sales. In comparison, in 2025, EV two-wheeler makers sold a total of 9.61 lakh units during the same period.
