Google seeks to step up AI push with DeepMind shakeup: Experts
Google DeepMind chief executive Demis Hassabis stepped down from that role on Wednesday to become its chairman. DeepMind chief technology officer Koray Kavukcuoglu has been elevated to senior vice president to lead the AI research lab. He will oversee the development of Gemini models, frontier AI research and the Gemini app and report directly to Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai.
