Google tells Delhi HC it can't proactively monitor alleged court hearing video re-uploads
Google has informed the Delhi High Court it cannot proactively monitor YouTube for unauthorized court recordings, citing its intermediary status. The tech giant argued that liability rests with content uploaders, not the platform, and that policing millions of videos is impossible. Google stated it only removes content upon court order and has already blocked identified URLs as a precaution, seeking dismissal of the petition against it.
