No reason to slow AI efforts here, India focused on applications not frontier models: IT Ministry sources
India sees no reason to pause its artificial intelligence research, as its focus remains on developing applications and models suited to the needs of its people, IT Ministry sources said. The government is, however, working to tighten AI incident reporting rules, including the norms, timelines and information that companies must share with authorities.
