Shanghai Xingshu launches first constellation of its space-based computing project
Shanghai Xingshu Tiansuan launched its first space-computing constellation on Saturday. This project aims to deploy a total of one thousand satellites in orbit. Space-based computing processes data in orbit, reducing the need for Earth transmission. This launch moves China closer to commercial operation of its space-based computing network. Elon Musk's SpaceX is also advancing its own space-based computing initiatives.
