States asked to expedite capex loans utilisation
The Department of Expenditure has urged states to expedite their use of interest-free loans for capital investment. With only a quarter of funds allocated utilized, swift action is necessary to meet spending targets. The central government released around ₹51,000 crore under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment by October 1. The department is actively working with states to resolve delays and identify projects.
