US startup plans to sell sunlight at night with help from India's Skyroot Aerospace
Reflect Orbital, a pioneering firm based in California, is set to revolutionize nighttime illumination by harnessing sunlight from satellites in orbit. Collaborating with Skyroot Aerospace, the company plans to launch two satellites using Vikram rockets. Recently sanctioned by the Federal Communications Commission, the demonstration satellite aims to support efforts ranging from disaster response to special events. However, environmentalists express concerns about the possible ecological repercussions of this innovative project.
